AAPPL System Check

Microphone	A microphone is required.	Were you able to record your voice? Yes No Allow access to your microphone Allow access to your microphone so that your response can be recorded. Click "Allow" or "Yes" to allow access.

Video	You must be able to view video.	Were you able to view the video? Yes No
If you cannot play video, please contact your system administrator.
Captions	You must not see captions on your screen.	Did captions appear anywhere on your screen while the video was playing? Yes No
If captions appeared anywhere on your screen, you must let your teacher know right away. Do not log in to your test! There may be a problem with your browser that your school/teacher will help you to correct before the test. Your computer must be set up correctly or your test score might be affected.
Language Support	For the Writing Assessment, candidates need to type in the target language. To ensure keyboard compatibility with AAPPL's security features, schools should verify their keyboard of choice works with the AAPPL Presentational Writing (PW) demo tests available here. Windows 10: Follow the instructions to Add a keyboard and then Change your keyboard layout. Windows 8.1: Follow the instructions under Change the keyboard layout or other method you use to type. Chromebook: Follow the steps to Choose keyboard language & special characters. macOS: Follow the instructions to Write in another language on your Mac. You may need to select your macOS version at the top of the page. iPadOS: Follow the instructions to Add or remove a keyboard for another language. You may need to select your iPadOS version at the top of the page.
